About Schmidt NZB (2002)
Het leven van Warren Schmidt verandert ingrijpend na de dood van zijn vrouw Helen, met wie hij 42 jaar getrouwd was. Wanneer hij met pensioen gaat, komt er bovendien een einde aan zijn job als adviseur bij een verzekeringsmaatschappij. Alsof dat nog niet genoeg is, staat zijn enige dochter Jeannie op het punt te trouwen met Randall. Warren besluit te gaan reizen en tegelijk op zoek te gaan naar zichzelf. Hij gaat ook op visite bij zijn dochter op om zo de kloof tussen hen beiden te dichten. Tegelijkertijd probeert hij haar huwelijk tegen te houden, want hij vindt zijn toekomstige schoonzoon veel te min voor zijn oogappel.
