Misery (1990)

Auteur Paul Sheldon zet een punt achter de populaire Misery serie en besluit om vanaf nu echte literatuur te gaan schrijven. Het onheil begint als hij vertrekt van zijn vast schrijfplek: hij wordt overvallen door een sneeuwstorm, krijgt een ongeluk en wordt vervolgens wakker in het bed van een trouwe maar compleet gestoorde fan. Director Rob Reiner's adaptation of Stephen King's novel is an eerie tale of obsessiveness and isolation. The film features an excellent turn by Caan and an Oscar-winning performance by Bates.
