Part four in the Hannibal Lecter Quadrilogy. Having escaped the asylum in "Silence of the Lambs," Dr Lecter goes into hiding in Florence, Italy. Back in America, Mason Verger, an old victim of the doctor's, seeks revenge. Disfigured and confined to a life-support system, he plans to draw Lecter out of his hiding place, using the one thing he truly cares for: Clarice Starling.

Miss Hannibal Lecter? Apparently NBC does, because they just bought an hour-long drama to be titled Hannibal , based on the iconic cannibal character. The show comes from Bryan Fuller , who has experience with dark, weird television: Dead Like Me , Heroes , and Pushing Daisies are amongst his credits. Hit the jump for more.
Fuller got a pretty good deal with this sale. He is writing the script, and if NBC likes it, Hannibal will go straight into production on thirteen episodes, completely bypassing the traditional pilot route.
