Jeepers Creepers (2001)

Tijdens hun reis naar huis worden Trish en haar broer Darry bijna van de weg afgereden door een vies oud busje. Even later zien ze de bestuurder van het busje iets dumpen bij een verlaten kerk. Darry besluit om een kijkje te nemen en doet vervolgens een afschuwelijke ontdekking in de kelder van de kerk. De twee besluiten naar de politie te gaan, maar komen er dan achter dat de bestuurder van het busje hen niet met rust wil laten. Hij wil namelijk iets van hen.

The film veers gleefully in all directions, referencing such classics as NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD, NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET, SILENCE OF THE LAMBS, and even THE TERMINATOR, along the body-strewn way. There is no shortage of clever humor amid the shocks, gross-outs, and nail-biting suspense, and Phillips and Long exhibit a refreshingly believable brother-sister rapport. The supporting cast includes Patricia Belcher as a psychic and Eileen Brennan as an eccentric cat owner. Francis Ford Coppola is the executive producer.
