Whilst working as a CCTV operator in Glasgow's working-class Red Road estate, Jackie sees a face from the past, a face that she thought would no longer haunt her dreams. Keeping her distance, and with the use of her CCTV cameras, she follows the face and the man and she finally decides to confront him. It is here that past lives are once again entwined and reconciliations are aired.
Jackie is werkzaam bij een beveiligingsbedrijf, waar ze via een camera-bewakingssysteem waakt over dat kleine deeltje van de wereld waarvoor zij nu verantwoordelijk is. Op een dag echter wordt ze verrast: op één van de monitoren ziet ze een man die ze nooit meer zien wilde en nu moet ze toch tegen wil en dank de confrontatie met hem aangaan.

This writer saw several films that verged on greatness at the Venice Film Festival this year, but none quite blew us away like Andrea Arnold 's "Wuthering Heights."
