Katy Perry May Come to the Big Screen in 3D Concert

Following in the footsteps of Justin Bieber and his successful Paramount concert film Justin Bieber: Never Say Never , pop sensation Katy Perry is in early negotiations with the studio for a similar project. Representatives for Perry and Imagine Entertainment are envisioning a 3D concert film in a documentary style that would feature the singer/songwriter and include performance footage. Though no director is in place and no formal deals have been inked, both sides appear eager to work out the logistics. Perry’s fan-following is mainly comprised of teen girls, a demographic that basically controls whether or not a movie is wildly successful (Bieber, Twilight, Miley Cyrus ’ Hannah Montana and The Jonas Brothers come to mind).
