Dr. Strangelove or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb (1964)

This film's for the BMX bike racers of the world. A small town is out to raise funds by building a BMX racetrack and sponsoring a major race. They sponsor their own small-town hero Cru (Bill Allen) who's up against the big-monied sponsor's champion Bart Taylor (played by Olympic gymnast-turned-actor, Bart Thomas). Bart's the bad guy here, who doesn't play by the rules. The film's highlights are found in the stunt-filled race sequences, where the two duel it out on their high-flying two wheelers.

Op het hoogtepunt van de Koude Oorlog raakt de Amerikaanse generaal Jack Ripper zijn verstand kwijt, en stuurt hij een groot aantal vliegtuigen richting de Sovjet Unie om het land met kernwapens plat te gooien. De Amerikaanse president regelt een ontmoeting met zijn adviseurs, waar hij van de Sovjet-ambassadeur hoort dat er, als de wapens afgevuurd zullen worden, een automatisch apparaat in werking gesteld zal worden dat al het leven op Aarde vernietigt. Het is dus zaak om de vliegtuigen terug te roepen, wat echter moeilijk wordt aangezien niemand de juiste communicatie-codes weet.
