Casino Royale (1966)

Sir James Bond geniet van zijn pensioen totdat hij door een delegatie van geheimagenten terug wordt geroepen om de strijd aan te gaan met SMERSH, dat overal agenten afmaakt. Als 'M' dan ook nog eens wordt vermoord, wordt Bond het nieuwe hoofd van de Britse geheime dienst. Daar creëert hij een korps van agenten die seks kunnen weerstaan en noemt ze allemaal James Bond om verwarring te stichten.

y Burt Bacharach, the film was universally panned as a muddled, overlong failure, with the occasional amusing sequence lost in the unintelligible surroundings. The participation of several screenwriters and five different directors, including John Huston, only adds to the confusion.
