Seed (2007)

Written and directed by horror auteur Uwe Boll, SEED follows the exploits of a death row inmate who survives his own execution, only to be bound and buried alive. Clawing his way out of the ground, the killer goes on a vengeance-thirsty rampage, bent on destroying everyone who had a hand in his incarceration. Starring Boll movie alums Will Sanderson and Michael Pare, this giddy gore-fest (in true Boll form) pushes well past the realm of "ultra-violent."

Realizing the dangers of letting such an unrepentant menace back on the streets, the executioner, Warden Wright, and the prison doctor conspire to skirt the law, and pronounce Seed dead. Subsequently bound and buried alive, the enraged Seed somehow manages to escape from his premature grave, and quickly sets out to prove just how alive he truly is.
