Bosse is een ongelukkige jongen die bij z'n wrede tante en oom woont. Op een nacht wordt hij weggeflitst naar het magische land Faraway. Hij ontdekt dat zijn echte vader de koning van Faraway is en dat hij prins Mio is. Samen met zijn vriend JumJum wil hij de kwade ridder Kato verslaan en alle kinderen bevrijden die Kato als slaaf heeft.
